Vision

In addition to the central biblical purposes of the body of Christ, at RCC we enthusiastically value:

• expositional preaching
• an ecumenical spirit
• a genuinely welcoming atmosphere
• intentional simplicity and humility in corporate worship
• the habit of practicing hospitality

Also, an overarching philosophy that guides all our discipleship and ministry is:

• a relational rather than programmatic emphasis

This approach places limited amphasis on "programs" and events for individual categories of church members (youth, singles, seniors, young families, etc.) Instead, we desire that all members grow in awareness of the unique needs of those around them and then minister to those needs, often on a one-to-one basis. We believe that people grow and are transformed not primarily by attending events or even participating in programs, but by relationship with those who offer sacrificial lovingkindness and a gracious, attentive witness of Christ-like concern.

The Lord uses Christian churches of all sorts! We certainly don't think we have a corner on the "best way to do church." However, we believe and pray that our intentions and efforts are a biblically-faithful response to the community we serve and the times in which we live.
